SINOPSIS

Di balik setiap target, laporan kinerja, dan capaian organisasi, selalu ada manusia yang bekerja dengan pengalaman, harapan, keyakinan, dan keterikatannya sendiri. Karena itu, kinerja tidak pernah lahir hanya dari kemampuan, prosedur, atau instruksi. Ia tumbuh dari cara manusia mengalami organisasi tempat ia bekerja.

Dinamika Kinerja Sumber Daya Manusia dalam Organisasi: Budaya Organisasi, Kepuasan Kerja, dan Komitmen Organisasional menghadirkan pembacaan yang lebih utuh terhadap proses tersebut. Buku ini menempatkan budaya organisasi sebagai ruang nilai yang membentuk perilaku, kepuasan kerja sebagai cerminan pengalaman manusia dalam pekerjaan, dan komitmen organisasional sebagai keterikatan yang menjembatani pengalaman tersebut menuju kontribusi nyata.

Pertanyaan utama yang dibawa buku ini sederhana, tetapi mendasar: mengapa organisasi dengan sumber daya yang relatif sama dapat menghasilkan tingkat kinerja yang berbeda? Jawabannya tidak selalu terletak pada kemampuan teknis. Sering kali, perbedaannya berada pada sesuatu yang lebih dalam: bagaimana pegawai memaknai organisasi, bagaimana mereka diperlakukan, seberapa jauh mereka merasa menjadi bagian darinya, dan sejauh mana mereka bersedia memberikan kemampuan terbaiknya.

Melalui sintesis teori, bukti empiris, dan perkembangan pemikiran Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia, buku ini menunjukkan bahwa budaya yang kuat belum tentu menghasilkan kinerja tinggi, dan kepuasan kerja yang baik belum tentu otomatis melahirkan kontribusi terbaik. Di antara keduanya terdapat proses psikologis dan organisasional yang menentukan apakah nilai dan pengalaman kerja benar-benar berubah menjadi komitmen, perilaku, dan kinerja.

Buku ini karena itu tidak sekadar menjelaskan hubungan antarvariabel. Ia mengajak pembaca memahami perjalanan manusia di dalam organisasi: dari nilai yang dirasakan, pengalaman yang dijalani, keterikatan yang terbentuk, hingga kontribusi yang diwujudkan.
