SINOPSIS

Angka dapat menunjukkan kemajuan. Tetapi siapa yang sungguh menerima manfaat dari keputusan yang dibuat atas namanya?

Di balik nilai pendidikan ada kesempatan belajar yang tidak selalu setara. Di balik pertumbuhan ekonomi ada keluarga dengan daya beli dan beban hidup berbeda. Di balik realisasi anggaran ada warga yang menunggu layanan nyata. Di balik keputusan algoritmik ada manusia yang dapat memperoleh kesempatan—atau justru kehilangan hak untuk didengar.

ANGKA, KEPUTUSAN, DAN MARTABAT MANUSIA menelusuri bagaimana penalaran matematis bekerja di tengah kompleksitas sistem sosial, pendidikan, ekonomi, pemerintahan, dan teknologi digital. Melalui kajian ilmiah dan ilustrasi yang membumi, buku referensi ini mempertemukan ketepatan bukti dengan ketidakpastian, keadilan distribusi, dan tanggung jawab keputusan. Kerangka Penalaran Matematis Berorientasi Manusia (PMBM) diperkenalkan sebagai undangan untuk menilai sekaligus memperbaiki cara keputusan dibentuk.

Sebab angka menjelaskan keadaan, keputusan menghadirkan akibat, dan martabat manusia menuntut agar akibat itu tidak luput dari pertanggungjawaban.
